EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is a yearly event organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). Its policy conference, the biggest event in Europe on sustainable energy issues, is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to come together, debate new policy developments, and build connections. EUSEW also includes:

  • The European Sustainable Energy Awards, celebrating the people and initiatives that advance Europe’s transition to clean and sustainable energy,
  • The Energy Fair, a platform for participants to network,
  • Energy days, local events taking place across Europe promoting clean energy and energy efficiency.

REScoop.eu at EUSEW

This year, representatives from REScoop.eu will be present at three policy sessions, all taking place on Wednesday 11 June, that can all be joined onsite and online. Our president, Dirk Vansintjan, is also a digital ambassador, acknowledging his leading voice in the field of energy at the EU level.

How a multilevel collaboration can drive clean energy action in cities

Wednesday 11 June - 09.30-11:00 CEST

This session addresses financial barriers in cities' energy transitions, highlighting the role of EU instruments like the European City Facility and the European Energy Communities Facility and the opportunities they offer for cities and other local actors, such as energy communities.

With European and local representatives, the session will discuss how we can jointly succeed through stakeholder contributions from various governance levels, financial institutions, and support facilities.

Not (just) for hippies: energy communities can be the drivers of the EU’s re-industrialisation

Wednesday 11 June - 14:30-16:00 CEST
