A fresh wind blowing in REScoop.eu
Today, we are launching a new visual identity for REScoop.eu, starting with a new logo. We loved our old logo, and know that many felt the same – so let us explain why we decided to make this change.
Our first logo was created during the European project REScoop 20-20-20, which later became REScoop.eu. The playful feel and colorful diversity in the logo reflected our young and starting network at the time.
However, as REScoop.eu evolved over the years, we felt it was time for our logo to get a makeover, to reflect the state of European energy cooperatives today. Both the federation and her members have received increased attention in recent years, ensuring community energy projects are being seen as serious market players that will play a prominent role in the future energy system. This is well reflected in the acknowledgment of energy communities in the European Commission's Clean Energy for All Europeans Package, adopted at the end of 2019. At the same time, the services we offer to our members have grown over the years, and we will continue to develop those more and more in the future. Finally, as our network evolves, the icons in the old REScoop.eu logo don’t reflect the variety of activities our members are involved in today like e-car sharing, peer-to-peer trading or smart grid operations.
So, are you ready to discover the new REScoop.eu logo? Here we go!
As our core values and commitment have remained stable over time, you will find that the new logo is in line with the brand we have built over the past years. It uses the same color palette in a more refined, easier to understand way, whilst maintaining the spirit of the original. It’s an evolution, and one that can scale easily, and work better, in many places.
The REScoop.eu team worked hard over the past year to create this new and more cohesive visual identity. We are launching this identity today with the new logo. Over the next few months, you’ll see all the other visuals around REScoop.eu aligning around this new direction: in presentations, publications and other communication materials. To round up this process, we will launch a brand new website in autumn this year.
We’re still REScoop.eu. But more consistent, fresh and ready for the future. And we look forward to continuing this journey with you all!
