Save the date for our international conference and General Assembly

The European Citizen Energy Conference 2020 and REScoop.eu General Assembly, will take place on the 23rd, 24thand 25thof April 2020.

Join us at the DJH Youth Hostel in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) to discuss, network and learn from community energy leaders, and participate in dynamic forward looking workshops. This three days conference is hosted in partnership with Bündnis Bürgerenergie e.V (BBEn), DGRV and the INTERREG ECCO project.

This year’s conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities for energy communities that come along with the recently adopted Clean Energy for All Europeans package.

This event coincides with the General Assemblies of BBEn and REScoop.eu, taking place on the 25th of April 2020.

Please save the date and plan to join us for the citizen energy conference of the year! Registration will open in January 2020.

Workshop call for applications

As part of the European Citizen Energy Conference 2020, we are looking for organisations to organise workshops during the conference. We will provide you with a location and a timeslot for organising the workshop of your choice for the conference participants. The workshops should be related to one or more of the following topics:

  1. Innovative Community-led business models
  2. Cross-border and interregional citizen energy cooperation
  3. Cooperation in communities: cooperatives, municipalities, SMEs and other actors of the local energy system
  4. Citizen energy activism and campaigns
  5. Elements of an innovative, decentralized energy system
  6. Rural and urban community building
  7. Bridge the gap between urban, peri-urban and rural communities

Each workshop will have a timeslot of 90 minutes, and a room ranging from a 50 to 60 people capacity. We have slots available on the 24thand 25thof April in the morning. This call for applications will close at the end of November 2019. Each application will be reviewed and the final program will be communicated in January 2020.
