REScoop.eu is delighted to welcome three new members to her network. We strongly believe that by growing our network, we make sure the voices of citizens and their communities are better heard in the energy sector. Below you can find an overview of our new members.

Hyperion Energy Community

Hyperion is a new solar energy community based in Athens that will produce its own solar energy for self-consumption. Their first project is the construction of a 80 KW solar park in Central Greece, which will cover the electricity needs of about 30 households in Athens. People joining the cooperative will become self-producers (prosumers) and co-owners of the solar farm too. Through their cooperative shares, they will own part of the annual electricity production of the plant, which is then deducted from their energy bill.

Their goal is to use this first installation as a guiding project to develop skills and capacity to replicate it and to involve more people in the community.

Som Serveis Energètics

Som Serveis Energètics is a consumer and user energy cooperative from Mallorca, Spain, that prioritises social and environmental values over economic benefit.

They offer a wide range of energy services to their members:

  • Supply and installation of renewable energy production systems.
  • Collective purchases.
  • Advice on energy efficiency and energy saving.
  • Support in the creation of local energy communities.
  • Support of individuals or groups interested in producing, distributing or supplying renewable energy.

Som Serveis Energètics was created to respond to the local population demands that couldn’t be attended by Som Energia’s local group due to the particular characteristics of the island territory of Mallorca: limited amount of land, high price of the land, and local opposition to some renewable energy projects. In this way, they aim to complement the work of Som Energia in Mallorca and contribute to a just energy transition in the territory together.

Attica Energy Cooperative

Attica Energy Community is a recently established energy cooperative in the region of Attica, Greece. Its 20 members are starting to work on their projects: collective production of energy with a photovoltaic power plant, consulting services for energy poor households, educational activities, electric carsharing, and installation of electric car charging stations powered with clean energy.
