Overall assessment

The resources of the Modernization Fund for the Republic of Croatia are estimated at EUR 1 billion for the period up to 2030, or about EUR 100 million per year. The first invitation was intended for investments in Croatian companies, in development, in raising competitiveness and green transition, without mentioning energy communities. More specifically, ]the “State Aid Scheme to support the production of electricity from renewable energy sources” (MF 2022-2 HR 0-005) does not include a specific budget for energy communities and targets explicitly enterprises in the manufacturing industries and in activities related to steam and air conditioning supply to invest in the construction of RES installations.
