Overall assessment

There are no investments or reforms to support energy communities foreseen in the REPowerEU chapter of Denmark's modified Recovery and Resilience Plan. The following components could indirectly support community energy actors:

  • Reform 1: National Energy Crisis Staff (NEKST), will create a task-force that will speed up measures to promote the energy transition, including speeding up the permitting and administrative procedures of new wind and solar projects. The task-force will also promote the accelerated phase out of oil & gas heating systems, to be replaced with green solutions such as renewables-based district heating.
  • Investment 2: Green upskilling: build up labour force training programs around green technologies and the energy transition.

No support for fossil fuels is foreseen in the modified Plan.
